The Healthcare Assistant will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, providing person-centred care to meet the diverse needs of our residents. Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting nursing staff in delivering high-quality care
* Getting to know residents' interests and needs, providing attention, support and companionship
* Promoting mobility and ensuring optimum mobility is maintained
* Assisting with personal care and maintaining dignity
* Communicating effectively with nurses regarding resident's condition or daily life
* Participating in social activities and developing good relationships with residents and families
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or equivalent (in progress/completed)
* Excellent communication and listening skills
* Reliability and professionalism
* Ability to work independently or part of a team
* Fluent level of English both written and oral
