Site Lead
. The Site Lead plays a critical role in commercial manufacturing and future growth, operating within a complex cGMP environment and supporting both current products and next-generation technologies. The organisation offers a senior leadership opportunity for a Site Lead with significant strategic influence and long-term development scope.
Responsibilities
* Provide full strategic, operational, and financial leadership for a large commercial manufacturing site.
* Lead all on-site functions and management teams.
* Develop and execute the site's long-term strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, including capital planning, workforce development, and risk management.
* Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations in line with cGMP, regulatory, quality, and cost standards.
* Act as site lead for regulatory inspections, audits, and external stakeholder engagement.
* Drive Operational Excellence through continuous improvement, Lean principles, and performance management.
* Lead scale-up activities, technology transfers, and new product introductions from late-stage development to commercial launch.
* Build and sustain a high-performance culture through strong leadership, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
* Manage site budgets, financial performance, and major capital investment projects.
* Represent the site at senior leadership forums and act as a key interface with global and corporate functions.
Experience
* You will be degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology or similar).
* Proven experience leading large, multi-functional teams at site or plant leadership level.
* Strong background in scale-up, technology transfer, and new product introduction.
* Demonstrated success managing significant capital projects and site-level budgets.
* Experience operating effectively within a matrixed, global organisation.
* Strategic, resilient leader with strong influencing, communication, and decision-making skills.
* Track record of driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and cultural transformation
