Information Security Officer / Security Architect
Location: Glasnevin, Dublin
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Officer / Security Architect to lead the delivery of information security services across a diverse client portfolio while contributing to the organisation's overall security strategy, technical direction, and service development. This is a senior leadership role that combines hands‑on security expertise with people management, client advisory responsibilities, and security architecture oversight. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to clients, lead a team of security professionals, and play a key role in shaping security services and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Information Security Analysts
Manage workloads, priorities, and service delivery standards
Provide technical oversight and quality assurance across all security engagements
Support team development through coaching, training, and performance management
Client Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to clients on information security strategy and governance
Present security posture, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Support clients in developing and maturing their security frameworks
Facilitate workshops, executive briefings, and client reporting
Contribute to CISO-as-a-Service engagement
Participate in an on‑call P1 incident response rota (one week in every four)
Security Architecture & Technical Leadership
Design and define security architectures aligned with business requirements
Lead the implementation of security controls across networks, systems, cloud, and endpoint environments
Review and approve security designs, policies, and technical solutions
Provide expertise across Microsoft security technologies, vulnerability management, SIEM/SOC integration, and threat management
Ensure consistency and scalability of security services
Strategy, Governance & Service Development
Contribute to cyber security strategy and service roadmap development
Identify opportunities to enhance and expand security offering
Support ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 governance frameworks and compliance initiatives
Drive continuous improvement across security processes and reporting
Skills & Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years' experience in Information Security, Cyber Security, Network Administration, or a related field
Strong understanding of security governance, risk management, and security control
Experience designing and implementing security architecture
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Experience leading or mentoring technical teams
CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CISM, or similar certification
M365 Global Administrator certification
Experience working within managed security or consulting environments
Technical Expertise
SIEM, SOC, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection solutions
Identity and Access Management
Cloud platforms including Azure and AWS
Network security technologies and monitoring tools
Security compliance and governance frameworks
