Join AECOM's thriving Surface Transportation Team in Ireland—a 150+ strong professional network operating across Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Belfast. Due to significant growth fueled by a robust pipeline of major Greenways, Active Travel, and Public Transport programmes.
We're seeking an enthusiastic and driven Senior Roads, Civil, or Infrastructure Engineer with industry experience to join our expanding team.

Your Role & Responsibilities
Prepare and coordinate design packages for complex infrastructure programmes across a range of projects including major highways (TII Publications), bus infrastructure (NTA standards), and active travel schemes (DMURS/NTA Cycle Design Manual). Current projects range from concept to construction stage.
Ensure all project deliverables meet AECOM quality standards and are managed effectively to time and budget.
Work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team, interrogating outputs from other disciplines (e.g., drainage, structures, environmental).
Work directly with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, guiding them through technical challenges and statutory approval processes (Part 8 / ABP / SID / EIA).
Support and coach junior engineers, contributing to AECOM’s culture of growth and continuous learning.

Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering or similar (BSc, BEng, MEng, MSc).
Post‑graduation experience in relevant areas such as civil engineering, road design, greenways, public transport/bus infrastructure, or major highways.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Working knowledge of TII Publications/Standards.
Solid understanding of the Design Manual for Urban Roads and Streets (DMURS) and the NTA Cycle Design Manual.
Experience with the preparation of contract documents (e.g., Public Works Contract - PWC forms).
Demonstrated experience in general road design and drainage modelling/design.
Experience with statutory planning and design approvals in Ireland.
