Role Overview

The Assistant Project Engineer supports the technical and coordination aspects of engineering projects, contributing to planning, execution, and performance tracking. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and project managers, this role assists with technical documentation, progress monitoring, and cross-team coordination. It is suitable for early-career to mid-level professionals seeking hands-on project engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities


• Assist in developing project schedules, technical documentation, and work plans.


• Support senior engineers in reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.


• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to support project activities.


• Monitor project progress and assist in tracking milestones, materials, and resources.


• Conduct basic technical calculations, data analysis, and reporting.


• Assist with site coordination, inspections, and quality checks under supervision.


• Prepare and manage engineering documents such as RFIs, submittals, and change records.


• Support procurement activities by reviewing technical data and supplier information.


• Ensure work aligns with technical standards, safety guidelines, and project procedures.


• Participate in project meetings and contribute to follow-up actions and documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.


• Fundamental understanding of engineering principles and project workflows.


• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.


• Familiarity with engineering software or design tools is an advantage.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.


• Attention to detail when preparing reports or reviewing technical documents.


• Good communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.


• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and accept increasing responsibility.


• Internship experience, academic projects, or prior engineering work exposure is beneficial but not required.
