The Role:
We're looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant, based in Ireland, to help scale our growing international fintech operations. You'll take ownership of the Irish entity's financials and compliance, while also supporting group-wide consolidation and reporting as we expand globally.
This is a remote-first role with flexible hours across European and North American time zones, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys autonomy, and wants to make an impact in a scaling startup.
What you'll be doing:
* Act as the owner for our Irish entity, ensuring all statutory and regulatory obligations are met.
* Prepare and review Irish financial statements, coordinating with local auditors, tax advisors, and consultants.
* Liaise with external partners and banks, ensuring timely filings and compliance.
* Prepare management reporting for the Irish entity.
* Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close for the consolidated group.
* Maintain and reconcile multi-entity general ledgers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ASPE.
* Support inter-company reconciliations, consolidation entries, and handle cross-border accounting issues.
* Help develop and refine internal controls, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate on cash management, FX exposure, and treasury operations.
* Contribute to sales tax and corporate tax compliance across all entities.
* Bonus Nice to Have: Support FP&A activities, including budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
What you'll bring:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
* 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in multi-entity and startup environments.
* Strong understanding of ASPE (or IFRS) and Irish GAAP/statutory requirements.
* Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work independently across time zones.
* Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).
* Bonus: Exposure to FP&A, financial modelling, or management reporting.
