Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain effective rapport with key stakeholders
Ensure referral, admission, and discharge processes are consistently followed
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of patient referrals (on-site or via telephone as appropriate)
Assume the role of Person-in-Charge in the absence of senior management, in line with relevant regulations and standards
Support the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day operational management of the facility
Actively participate in multidisciplinary teams, including risk, incident, and infection control committees
Ensure appropriate delegation of care in line with nursing standards, considering staff competence and scope of practice
Maintain accountability for tasks delegated to junior staff and provide necessary oversight
Promote and support a restraint-free environment in line with national policies and best practices
Contribute to and implement quality and safety systems, including continuous monitoring and improvement of care standards
Requirements
Registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by NMBI, or eligible for registration
Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
Qualification in teaching and assessment (desirable)
Post-registration qualification in a relevant specialty (desirable)
In-depth knowledge of the ageing process
Strong IT skills and competence in the use of healthcare systems
Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience (or equivalent full-time aggregate)
At least 2 years' experience in the relevant specialty or related area
Demonstrated clinical, managerial, and administrative capability
Proven ability to effectively manage clinical and operational responsibilities
High standard of professional suitability and clinical expertise
Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills
Ability to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in line with best practice
