Job Description
Cancer care specialists are key members of a multidisciplinary team working together to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Assess and plan individualized patient care that addresses the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of each person living with cancer.
* Demonstrate effective communication skills when interacting with patients, families, carers, healthcare professionals as well as other stakeholders in ensuring seamless service delivery. Demonstrate ability to work effectively within the oncology unit managing both direct and indirect patient-related responsibilities across different health settings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
The role requires an advanced degree (master’s level or higher) in Nursing Science/Oncological Nursing or equivalent qualification. Registered nurse/midwife on the active Register held by Bord Altranais (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland). At least 4 years post-registration experience with extensive clinical expertise in specialist areas like Cancer Care.
