Job Title: Area Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing operations across multiple stores, supporting store owners and corporate entities to drive sales growth, increase margin and uphold standards in line with the brand's pillars of staff, customers and business.

Key Responsibilities:

* Store Owner Support and Relationship Management:
o Support store owners and corporate entities, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
o Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and community engagement among store teams.
o Build and maintain positive relationships with store owners, staff and customers.
* Operations Management
o Regularly visit stores to assess performance, conduct business reviews, provide feedback and ensure operational standards are met.
o Support stores to drive sales growth, increase margin and uphold standards in line with the strategic plan.
o Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and consistency across all locations.
o Build strong relationships with approved suppliers, maintaining product lists to ensure best prices.
o Lead efforts to maintain premium mainstream positioning and uphold commitment to organic and Fairtrade coffee.
o Analyze sales figures and financial data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
o Seek out new systems and processes to streamline operations, reduce costs and remain competitive.
o Weekend work is required (one Saturday per month, one Sunday per month, one weekend on-call support per month).
* Human Resources
o Address HR issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
o Support stores to encourage a culture of excellence and trust across sites.
o Monitor store training and staff development.
* Marketing and Sales Growth
o Work with the Head of Operations and Marketing Department to implement marketing strategies enhancing store visibility and brand awareness.
o Collaborate with store owners and managers on menu upgrades, new product sourcing and sales-driving initiatives.
o Drive sales growth through targeted marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
* Product Development and Quality Assurance
o Ensure quality and consistency of products served in all stores.
o Source new products and oversee menu upgrades to meet customer preferences and market trends.
o Uphold the brand's reputation for exceptional coffee and superior customer service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Proven experience in a similar role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a franchise or multi-site environment (min 2 years).
* Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and motivating teams.
* Understanding of HR practices, operational management and marketing strategies.
* Passion for food and beverage, with a keen interest in coffee and sustainable practices.
* Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret sales data and financial reports.
* Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office is a requirement of the position.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering positive relationships with store owners, staff and customers.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make informed decisions under pressure.
