Job Title:

Medical Secretary 11 Month Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Secretary to join our Cardiology team at Whitfield Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to a selection of Consultant's across various specialties.

* Meet, greet, and book in patients on the day of the clinic in an efficient manner.
* Provide excellent patient experience throughout the Hospital.
* Efficiently process all Consultants' practice, patient pathways, and billing.

This role requires someone with excellent administrative and organizational skills, knowledge of general office procedures, and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Administer medical secretarial functions for Hospital suites.
2. Process referrals, deal with phone calls, and gather information from other hospitals as required by consultants.
3. Handle cash payments for consultants and ensure accurate recording on the system.
4. Ensure timely completion of medical reporting after consultations and dispatch copies to referring GPs and Consultants.
5. Deal with patient enquiries promptly and maintain proper filing systems for each consultant.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will also be willing to continuously improve under the lean thinking strategy.

* Medical Secretary or Business Secretarial Qualification desirable.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages.
* Experience of Immeddoc and TPRO desirable.
