Company Overview A leading main building contractor is seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Dublin-based commercial team.
This organisation is well known for actively developing its senior staff, with genuine, structured pathways toward Commercial Manager level for ambitious professionals.
Hybrid working is supported, with 12 days working from home negotiable depending on project requirements.
The Role This position is ideally suited to a QS who is early in their senior career and keen to step into a role with increased responsibility, visibility, and long-term progression.
You will work closely with senior commercial leadership while retaining hands-on involvement across live projects.
Key Responsibilities Commercial management of construction projects from procurement through to final account Preparation and management of cost reports, valuations, variations and cashflow Subcontractor procurement, negotiation and commercial administration Contractual correspondence and risk management Close collaboration with site and project management teams Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff Contributing to commercial strategy and long-term business planning Requirements Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline 18 months - 4 years of experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge Ambition to progress toward a Commercial Manager role in the medium term Confident communicator with leadership potential Whats on Offer €80,000 - €90,000 DOE Hybrid working (12 days WFH negotiable) 24 Annual Leave days 10% pension contribution Clear, supported progression toward Commercial Manager Support with Education and Chartership etc.
