Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our Large Format Printing and Signage Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the production, finishing, and assembly of a wide range of printed graphics and signage products. You'll work within a fast-paced environment, ensuring all jobs are produced to the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain large format printers (e.g., Liyu, Mimaki, Ricoh, etc.).
* Prepare print files and materials in accordance with production specifications.
* Mount, laminate, trim, and finish printed materials using appropriate tools and machinery.
* Assist with the assembly and installation of signage, graphics, and display systems when required.
* Ensure all work is completed within set deadlines and meets quality control standards.
* Handle materials safely and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
* Monitor stock levels of materials, inks, and substrates, reporting shortages promptly.
* Follow company procedures relating to health and safety, waste management, and quality assurance.
* Collaborate closely with design, sales, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in a large format print or signage production environment (preferred but not essential as full training will be provided).
* Familiarity with large format printing equipment, laminators, cutters, and finishing tools.
* Good technical understanding of materials such as vinyl, Foamex, Dibond, acrylic, and banners.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
* Good time management and organisational skills.
* A proactive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Basic IT literacy (RIP software and Adobe Creative Suite knowledge advantageous).
Working Hours & Environment
* Standard working hours: shifts can include 6am to 2pm / 8am to 4pm and 9am to 5pm. Standard shift will be 8am to 4pm.
* Overtime may be required during busy periods.
* Workshop-based role.
