We are currently hiring a Staff Nurse –GI/Rheumatology for a leading Hospital in Dublin, Ireland .
Responsibilities Safely administer cytotoxic, monoclonal, and biological therapies in line with Hospital and Department of Health protocols, with training and competency provided.
Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring continuous specialist care and clear communication with patients and families.
Provide treatment information, including potential side effects, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Manage referrals, coordinate patient scheduling, and support care for non-oncology consultants.
Maintain high professional standards, adhering to NMBI Scope of Practice and all hospital policies and guidelines.
Support the Nurse Manager by identifying issues, managing risks, handling complaints, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Demonstrate leadership through effective delegation, teamwork, serving as a resource person, and ensuring strong interdisciplinary communication.
Contribute to quality improvement, audits, accreditation processes, and the development of evidence-based policies and standards.
Engage in ongoing professional development, attend mandatory education, act as a preceptor, and assist in training students and new staff.
Uphold professional conduct, apply strong time-management skills, maintain appropriate appearance, and remain flexible to support other departments as needed.
Requirements Hold a Nursing Midwives Board of Ireland (NMBI) Registered General Nurse licence in good standing.
Ideally have two years of clinical experience in a general or medical setting.
GI or rheumatology experience is an advantage.
Demonstrate strong teaching ability, leadership skills, sound professional judgement, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Able to multi-task effectively and use time efficiently.
Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
