Job Description:
The Maintenance Person is expected to provide excellent customer service to all guests they encounter. Excellent service requires offering Ultimate Service with a smile and promoting the brand standards we are known for – uncompromised service with a focus on guest satisfaction. This position is responsible for ensuring all equipment is maintained and the property is in good working order to contribute to the overall positive guest experience.
Job Requirements:
1. Complete all brand required training
2. Complete all required Safety & Health training
3. Cut lawns using push mower or riding mower
4. Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls, using clippers, weed eaters, and edging tools
5. Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs, using shears, pruners, or chainsaw
6. Spray lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides, using hand or automatic sprayer
7. Rake and bag leaves, or prepare them for incineration
8. Clean grounds and remove litter using a spiked stick or broom
9. Shovel snow from walks and driveways
10. Spread salt on walkways to prevent ice buildup
11. Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs
12. Water lawn and shrubs
13. Make minor repairs on equipment such as lawn mowers and irrigation systems
14. Repair fences, gates, walls, walks, etc., as needed
15. Paint fences and outbuildings as needed
16. Clean out drainage ditches and culverts
17. Perform ground maintenance using tractor equipped with attachments
18. Sharpen tools
19. Complete basic plumbing repairs
20. Perform any job-related duties as requested by supervisor
Necessary Skills:
* Effective communication with staff and guests of varied backgrounds
* Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately
* Willingness to adapt to business demands
* Focus on guest satisfaction and positive interaction
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, maintenance, and electrical concepts
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand for extended periods
* Climb stairs, use ladders and step stools
* Lift up to 20 pounds frequently and 25 pounds periodically
* Pull up to 25 pounds occasionally
* Visual acuity for near and far objects
* Ability to work in humid, low-light, wet, hot, and cold environments
* Endurance and physical strength
