Job Title: Deputy Manager
Main Responsibilities
* To oversee the daily delivery of a high-quality, client-centered service.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, logistical, and IT skills are essential.
* The successful candidate will manage and support staff, maintaining rotas, training, leadership, supervision, support plans, and communication across shifts.
* Detailed documentation and completion of necessary paperwork are crucial for delivering excellent client care.
* Liaising with families and other personnel as directed by the Service Manager is also required.
* Maintaining compliance with childcare legislation, National Standards, and best practice is essential.
* The role involves promoting, participating in, and ensuring high standards of physical care, hygiene, and safety for residents.
Eligibility Criteria
* A Level 7/8 qualification in Social Care or a related field (e.g., Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Youth and Community Work, Social Work, Social Sciences, Teaching & Nursing) is required.
* A minimum of three years' experience working at a Social Care Grade in a residential center or health and social care setting is necessary.
* Familiarity with registration under HIQA National Standards for Residential Services is essential.
* A minimum of one year's supervisory experience is advantageous.
* The ability to discharge the duties of the role effectively is critical.
* Candidates must possess suitable professional attainments.
* Proficient ICT skills, including Microsoft Packages (Excel, Word), and email packages (Outlook), are required.
* A full clean driver's license and fluency in English are also essential.
* Permission to work in the Republic of Ireland is required.
