Our Purpose
Within our Packaging & Labeling (P&L) Engineering Department, we focus on developing cutting-edge medical device packaging in the Vascular & Implant Therapies space. Senior Packaging Engineers support technology transfers, continuous improvement initiatives, and are involved in developing innovative packaging for medical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide leadership in technical innovation across the department.
2. Define and implement strategic goals aligned with the business unit strategy.
3. Develop packaging components and assemblies for cardiac pacemakers and other medical devices.
4. Serve as a subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams focusing on design, technology, and process.
5. Develop technical documentation including design specs, validation plans, and reports in accordance with quality systems.
6. Support issue investigations and corrective actions.
7. Collaborate with peers to identify and implement best practices.
8. Ensure compliance with FDA and ISO requirements related to packaging and labeling, including package validation and qualification.
9. Utilize project management skills to align teams and drive continuous improvement projects aimed at "best in class" outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Minimum Level 8 Degree in Engineering/Science or related field; Masters preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Experience with biomedical materials, processing, and medical packaging design procedures.
4. Proven track record in innovative package design, product development, and manufacturing.
5. Strong ethics, integrity, and compliance with laws and policies.
6. Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.
7. Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex concepts clearly.
8. Strategic thinker with good judgment and accountability.
9. Passionate, driven, and capable of making tough decisions in challenging situations.
