Job Description
Field Engineer (IT) required for IT client based in Dublin.
Responsibilities
1. Provide on-site support to our customer base
2. Develop and build positive and professional relationships with our customer.
3. Liaise with other engineer's/technicians and customers
4. Diagnose/troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues at customer sites.
5. Install/Configure servers, computer equipment & peripherals
6. Deal with Customers issues effectively and efficiently, while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction with the services that we offer
7. Communicate daily with the dispatcher regarding on site visits and customer updates.
8. Document onsite information.
9. Update the ticketing system after each call with relevant information.
10. Complying with all company security policies in accordance with ISO27001.
Requirements:
11. A proven third level qualification in an IT related discipline. The minimum qualification is that of CompTIA, but those with higher qualifications, up to and including degree level should also apply, as this role is used to advance suitable candidates' careers
12. Have experience and a proven track record in a similar customer facing role in the IT sector.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Desktop OS (domain environment), desktop application related configurations, troubleshooting etc.
14. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to visualise a problem or situation and think abstractly to find a resolution.
15. Excellent interpersonal skills, enjoys working face to face with people.
16. Excellent communication skills, fluent in speaking and writing English essential.
17. Ability to lift and transport equipment
18. Mobility to access various offices areas, including under desks and in server/comms rooms.
19. Hold a full, clean Irish /EU driving license
20. Be available to work out of hours – evenings and weekends on a rostered basis
