What’s the Role: Activity Facilitator
What It Takes:
An important part of the staff role is to support our service users who have complex needs and help them to manage their emotions. The ability to be resilient, communicate effectively, and utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.
Our dedicated staff team supports our service users to learn and develop their independence skills, including shopping, cleaning their flat, personal care, accessing the community, budgeting, and taking medication. Each staff member brings unique qualities to the role, and we encourage the use of humour, fun, and creativity in supporting our service users with daily life.
Where You Would Work: Navan and Drumconrath Day Service
Navan and Drumconrath Day Service provide New Directions led supports to adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. The services are centrally located and within walking distance of local amenities. They offer person-centred, individualised supports that encourage personal development and active participation. Each service user has programmes tailored to their needs, helping them achieve their goals through meaningful activities both in-scheme and in the community. The services are led by service user needs and also offer outreach and in-reach services.

Salary Details:
Full-time and relief contracts available. Salary based on 36 hours/week, dependent on qualifications and experience. Sleep-in payments of €90.40 per night may apply. A driving license and access to a car are essential.
