Job Title: Financial Management Specialist
Role Overview:
The role of the Financial Management Specialist is a newly created position that requires a driven and experienced professional with strong negotiation skills and a positive attitude. As a senior member of our commercial team, you will use your eye for detail and proven experience in the Irish construction sector to manage the cost estimation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of 3 estimators, providing guidance, support, development, and leadership to drive professional excellence in the estimating function.
* Implement quality control procedures to ensure bid submissions are of the highest standard.
* Manage the cost estimation process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and leading a team of estimators.
* Develop Bid Documentation, Project BOQ and Budgets.
* Evaluate contractor and supplier bids and deliver category awards.
* Lead or contribute to value engineering exercises to optimise project costs without compromising quality or performance.
Requirements:
* Proven people management experience, leading, managing, developing, and motivating teams.
* Proven experience working in the Irish construction market/sector.
* Experience managing subcontractors.
* Cost analysis experience.
* Estimating / Bid / order negotiation experience within construction.
* Excellent understanding and application of costs, mark-ups and margins.
