About the Role
We are seeking a flexible and self‑driven candidate who can manage their time effectively and take initiative in their work. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid command of the English language. The ability to communicate confidently—both in person and over the phone—with colleagues, clients and statutory bodies is essential.
Responsibilities
 * Routine operational duties and regular maintenance tasks.
 * General duties both inside and outside in all weather conditions.
 * Process monitoring, completing record sheets and taking process samples.
 * Heavy manual work may be required from time to time.
 * Role requires work outside in all weather conditions.
 * Process control, operation of equipment and monitoring, basic mechanical maintenance and repair where appropriate.
 * General housekeeping activities such as cleaning and washing plant and area grounds maintenance.
 * Lifting 25kg bags for batching of chemicals.
 * Daily laboratory testing for essential treated and raw water parameters.
 * Automated treatment process with control system in place.
 * Proficiency in computers for checking plant trends on SCADA and using other software programmes such as loneworker and IFS while working alone at times.
 * Aware of need to follow formal procedures and safe working methods.
 * Flexibility with hours of work, including weekend and bank holiday work.
 * Participation in a regular standby and call‑out rota.
 * Other duties as requested.
