Our client, a precision engineering company in Louth are looking for a
Maintenance Engineer
to join their team.
The successful candidate will support, manage and improve plant maintenance program, in order to ensure safe, timely and efficient operation of all plant machinery and equipment.
Responsiblities include but are not limited to:
Maintain all plant machinery to ensure safe, continual and efficient operations.
Ensure that periodic and preventive maintenance are appropriately scheduled and accomplished and that emergency troubleshooting and maintenance support are readily available as needed.
Manage maintenance goal setting, activity scheduling and work allocation to ensure measurable goals, proper workload distribution, goal satisfaction.
Monitor and continually improve maintenance processes and maintenance personnel performance to achieve enhanced levels of efficiency.
Coordinate with operational functions to identify potential inefficiencies or obsolete processes and/or technologies.
Produce detailed cost analysis on new opportunities in line with business processes.
Continually seek to drive improvements in equipment efficiencies and operational performance.
Drive, support and participate in ongoing continuous improvement projects for machine downtime reduction.
Liaise with equipment vendors to establish appropriate preventive/predictive maintenance schedules.
Mentor and manage apprentices.
Ensure compliance to industry quality and environmental standards; develop and implement appropriate supporting documentation.
Share knowledge and experience with others and provide relevant training to colleagues, where required.
Any other duties as reasonably required.
Requirements:
Level 7 Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
At least 3 years' experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Strong background working with CNC machines and robotics.
Experience working with and mentoring technicians or apprentices desirable.
