Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Safety First Aider / Senior Safety First Aider to manage on-site medical and emergency response requirements across our railway construction projects. The role focuses on providing immediate first aid treatment, supporting site safety initiatives, managing medical preparedness, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide immediate first aid and basic medical assistance to injured or ill employees at the worksite.
* Respond promptly to accidents, incidents, and emergencies, including performing CPR, wound care, suturing/stitching, and stabilizing patients before medical evacuation.
* Maintain a well‑equipped first aid centre/medical room, ensuring all medicines and supplies are up to date and compliant with statutory norms.
* Support the HSE team during site incidents—assist in injury reporting, documentation, and root‑cause analysis.
* Conduct health awareness sessions and first aid training for site personnel.
* Monitor site conditions to proactively identify potential health or safety hazards.
* Maintain medical records, treatment logs, and incident reports in coordination with the HSE department.
* Coordinate with local hospitals, ambulances, and emergency response agencies for timely medical support.
* Assist in developing and executing emergency response and evacuation plans.
* Participate in mock drills and safety audits as part of the HSE team.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience
* 1–7 years in industrial or construction site medical care, preferably within railway, metro, or infrastructure projects.
Qualification
* Diploma / Certificate in Nursing / Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / Paramedics / First Aid from a government‑recognised institute.
Seniority Levels
* Senior Safety First Aider: Minimum 5 years of field experience with advanced first aid, trauma care, and emergency response exposure.
* Safety First Aider: 1–4 years of relevant site experience in occupational first aid or medical support roles.
