With over two decades of experience and a growing portfolio of specialist rehabilitation and residential services, we are continually developing innovative models of care to support residents and patients with diverse and complex needs.Join us as we expand our multidisciplinary teams and strengthen our clinical services across the CareChoice Group.Responsibilities:Be responsible for managing own caseload and for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of treatment/ intervention programmes for service users according to service standardsAssessments to include but are not limited to seating assessments, complete functional assessments, complete hand assessments, cognitive assessments and recommendations on environmental layout.Collaborate with service users, family, carers and other staff in treatment/intervention planning and in the provision of support and advice.Plan discharge or transition of the service user between services as appropriate.Ensure the quality of documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports and discharge summaries are in accordance with professional standardsFoster and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, front-line managers, and other healthcare personnel in the teamBe involved in service planning and development by anticipating the changing needs of the service and service users for the inpatient serviceDemonstrate a commitment to research and evidence-based practice, identifying and contributing to research, clinical evaluation and audit opportunitiesDocument, and communicate verbally and / or in writing results of assessments, treatment/intervention programmes and recommendations to the team and relevant others in accordance with service policyArrange and carry out duties in a timely manner within settings appropriate to service users' needs and in line with local policy/guidelines. Attend review meetings, team meetings, case conferences, ward rounds etc.Maintain quality standards of practice and participate in quality assurance and clinical audits as appropriate.Be responsible for adhering to existing standards and protocols and for leading out on the development and maintenance of standards/strategies for quality improvement and outcome measurementIncorporate national and international Evidence-Based Occupational Therapy Practice (EBOTP) into their practiceEnsure that professional standards are maintained in relation to confidentiality, ethics and legislationOperate within the scope of Occupational Therapy practice within Ireland and in accordance with local guidelinesAdhere to the Ethics for Occupational Therapists from CORU and the AOTI.Eligibility criteria:Hold a recognised qualification BSc or MSc as an Occupational Therapist and have validation of your qualifications if you qualified outside the Republic of Ireland.2 year minimum, post-graduate experience as an Occupational Therapist.Registration with CORU.Must have their own vehicle and full driving licence.Excellent language and communication skills as accurate communication is essential.Good interpersonal skills are essential.All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Ireland.Very competitive salary and package available to suitably experienced candidates***
