Job Description:
This is a varied role with a primary focus on production, ideal for candidates with previous manufacturing experience who are technically minded and eager to engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
The work pattern may change based on demand, and overtime opportunities are available.
The site is conveniently located near a bus station, making it a 30-minute journey from Cork city.
Onsite parking is available.
Responsibilities:
* Actively engaging in relevant training plans to ensure target outcomes are achieved.
* Ensuring all operations are carried out as per procedures.
* Complying with all Safety and Environmental standards.
* Maintaining the production areas in a clean and organized manner.
* Developing a working knowledge and understanding of relevant plant equipment, pipe runs, services, etc.
* Engaging in cross-training and being flexible to work in other departments if required.
* Ensuring all appropriate documentation is completed in a neat and timely manner.
* Adopting a proactive approach in achieving site, departmental, and individual targets.
* Ensuring safe and efficient use of forklift trucks.
* Continuously improving in day-to-day duties.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing production environment is required, preferably in a liquids blending role.
Experience and certificate for forklift truck (counterbalance) is required.
Leaving certificate or equivalent is required.
Third level certificate in engineering/production is desirable.
Good teamworking and communication skills, good organizational skills, and an energetic person, willing to work on own initiative and as part of a team, are essential.
Computer literate – Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP.
