Job Title: Claims Manager
Location: South Dublin
Working Model: Hybrid – 2 days in office
Abrivia are partnering with a major global insurer to appoint a Claims Manager within their Motor Damage area. This leadership role involves directing a large team, managing key broker and corporate accounts, and ensuring smooth, client-focused claims operations.
The position combines people management, stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of service improvements to strengthen the business in a competitive market.
Your Role
* Direct and support a team of approximately 20 claims professionals across Dublin and an outsourced service provider.
* Act as the main contact for priority brokers and large commercial clients, resolving issues quickly and maintaining strong service levels.
* Build long-term relationships through ongoing communication and client visits.
* Track performance standards and reporting outputs to maintain accuracy and consistency.
* Drive innovation and efficiency, particularly around digital tools and simplified claims handling.
* Contribute to wider divisional planning with senior management, ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
* Create an open and collaborative culture within the team, encouraging feedback and accountability.
* Lead projects aimed at reducing administration and improving the overall broker and client journey.
Your Skills
* Solid management background in claims or commercial insurance.
* Proven record of handling broker or corporate client relationships.
* Experience developing and motivating large teams (15+ people).
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
* CIP, Dip CII, or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
* Motor or commercial claims experience preferred, though senior candidates from a broking background with leadership experience will also be considered.
