A Social Care Manager (Person in Charge) is required to fill this full-time post. To be successful, you will need a strong management and leadership background, experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, and offering person-centered support. You should have a sound understanding of regulatory requirements and skills to lead safe support within a complex residential environment. A qualification in social care, strong business skills, and a commitment to personal development and teamwork are essential.

Community Overview
The community provides Residential Life Sharing Services, Day Opportunities, and Support Services for adults with support needs. Camphill operates on a voluntary ethos, including many voluntary and vocational coworkers, some of whom live in the community.
Purpose of Post
To uphold Camphill's ethos and values as the principal person responsible for daily management, ensuring the community provides residential and person-centered support, fostering a safe environment and high quality of life where individuals can achieve their ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
Governance and Leadership
* Report regularly to the national Senior Management Team (SMT) on community functioning and developments.
* Provide strategic advice and guidance to SMT and Regional Manager.
* Lead the community and manage the management team, ensuring they have the necessary skills, knowledge, resources, and motivation.
* Manage community work and resources collaboratively, following the business plan and policies.
* Maintain excellent relationships with HSE, comply with HIQA standards, and demonstrate continuous improvement.
Operational Management
* Accountable for overall service provision, supporting staff across various services.
* Promote a 'no tolerance' culture towards abuse.
* Ensure high-quality, compliant policies and procedures are in place.
* Develop and review business plans annually.
* Maintain effective record-keeping, monitoring, and reporting.
* Manage risks and ensure health and safety standards are met.
* Handle complaints and safeguarding concerns appropriately.
* Support residents' quality of life through assessments and personal plans.
* Foster residents' choice, citizenship, and relationships.
* Ensure knowledge of care standards and collaborate with other organizations.
Staffing
* Ensure effective communication and staffing levels aligned with residents’ needs.
* Identify and address training needs.
* Participate in on-call duties and oversee recruitment, supervision, and appraisal of staff.
Financial Stewardship
* Implement proper accounting controls.
* Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
* Manage residents’ finances securely and appropriately.
Residents and Support
Engage with residents to develop support plans that meet their needs and aspirations, fostering citizenship and advocacy.
Partnership and Networking
* Build relationships with HSE, partners, and agencies to promote collaboration.
* Provide timely reports and business information.
* Represent the community publicly and attend relevant meetings and training.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory duties and promote best practices in record keeping.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
* Level 7 QQI qualification (e.g., BA in Social Care Studies or Management) or equivalent.
* Postgraduate qualification in Social Care Management or similar preferred.
* Minimum 3 years senior management experience with strategic planning.
* At least 5 years' experience in health/social care or voluntary sector.

Role Details
Salary: €54,422 - €60,922 per annum plus on-call rate of €3,904. Location: Co Kildare. Contract: Permanent, full-time 40 hours. Closing date: Open recruitment.
