Job Opportunity: Construction Professional
The company overview:
My client is a leading construction main contractor with an annual turnover of circa €80m.
They have numerous live projects across Ireland and are building several schools in Munster.
They specialize in public works, sports, commercial, and residential buildings.
There is currently a requirement for construction professionals to work on a recently-won commercial project in the Galway City area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting-Out using total station or supervising Setting-Out Engineers where required.
* Carrying out setting out and surveying activities for various building trades using robotic total station and dumpy level.
* Coordinate and liaise with Contracts Manager, Site Engineers, and Services Coordinator to ensure that all subcontractors and site personnel have timely and accurate information.
* Ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specification and drawing requirements.
* Supervising and coordinating subcontractors, conducting site inspections, and providing technical expertise.
* Involvement in project planning, risk management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Managing and maintaining the RFI register on site.
* Managing and maintaining the submittals register on site.
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management related discipline.
* 2+ years experience as a Site Engineer/Senior Site Engineer with a Main Contractor or Residential Developer.
* Experience using setting out equipment - Eg. total station, GPS, and laser levels.
* Knowledge of temporary works coordination.
* Strong attention to detail and able to work on own initiative.
