RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Home care and Community care.
We are hiring Acute Oncology RANP/CANP/CNS into a Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Position: Permanent / Full-Time
Responsibilities

Provide rapid, expert assessment and management of patients presenting with cancer-related emergencies, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
Manage acute oncological conditions (e.g. neutropenic sepsis, spinal cord compression, hypercalcaemia, tumour lysis syndrome) within 24 hours or at first clinical review, in line with best practice guidelines.
Ensure full compliance with UKONS Acute Oncology Management Guidelines to optimise patient safety and outcomes.
Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective communication and seamless transitions between inpatient, outpatient, and community services.
Deliver holistic, patient-centred care, including psychological and emotional support for patients and their families.
Lead education and training initiatives for healthcare staff, enhancing knowledge and competencies in the recognition and management of oncological emergencies.
Contribute to reducing unplanned hospital admissions through early intervention, proactive management, and adherence to established care pathways and protocols.
Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and audit activities, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and continuous service enhancement.
Demonstrate advanced clinical decision-making through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including health promotion and patient discharge planning.
Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and professional competencies by supporting service development, mentoring staff, engaging in research, and contributing to policy development and organisational objectives.

Requirements

Must be registered in the Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Register, or as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) with a willingness to progress to ANP.
Must be registered in the Nurse Prescribers Division of the NMBI Register.
Must hold a Master’s Degree (NFQ Level 9 or equivalent) relevant to the clinical specialty.
Must possess the required clinical, professional, and administrative expertise to effectively perform the duties of the role.
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ post-registration experience, including at least 2 years in a relevant specialist area.
Demonstrates the ability to practice safely and effectively within scope, with evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Exhibits strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and adopt an innovative approach to practice.
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships, deliver presentations, facilitate learning, and provide constructive feedback.
Shows strong organisational and planning abilities, including managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, working independently, and adapting to changing service needs.
Displays leadership, analytical, and decision-making capabilities, with a commitment to quality improvement, patient-centred care, clinical audit, and continuous service enhancement.
