Production Manager Role
About the Role
The Production Manager position is based in Edenderry and reports to the Thermal Plant Manager. The role involves managing the Operations function of Edenderry/Cushaling generation assets, ensuring environmental and health and safety compliance while maximizing plant performance.
Main Responsibilities
* Management of Renewable Energy portfolio of generating assets to achieve and maximize plant availability and efficiency while achieving Bn M's and government renewable targets.
* Manage and lead the operations of the power plant, ensuring alignment with the Maintenance teams according to customer instructions, achieving defined targets safely, economically, and within environmental and other design limits of the Plant.
* Operations planning and reporting, materials logistics and management, ensuring that material management alongside purchasing and contract management meet company standards and support all operations within agreed budget.
* Liaise with Compliance and Trading functions to ensure financially beneficial position for the assets while maintaining necessary compliance.
* Implement the Renewable Energy Business Management System, coordinating interfaces with customers, partners, regulatory authorities, and accreditation bodies.
* Meet challenging commercial, safety, environmental, and quality targets, proactively participating as a member of the operations management team.
* Develop and implement a resource plan for the operations team to 2030 and beyond.
* Develop a succession plan for the operations team and ensure associated people development plans are implemented.
* Lead engagement planning process for the operations function, ensuring an action plan is developed in conjunction with the team and implemented.
The Person
We seek a candidate with the following qualifications, skills, knowledge, and attributes:
* BSc in Engineering or equivalent in a related technical discipline.
* 10+ years of experience in a similar role.
* Experience in Steam Boiler, Steam Turbine plant.
* Excellent people management skills required.
