As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee the nursing department, providing strategic direction and managing day-to-day nursing operations. You will lead and mentor a team of skilled professionals to ensure high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. This leadership role is critical in shaping the future of our nursing services and fostering a culture of excellence.
Requirements
· Minimum 3 Years of experience as registered nurse in the last 6 years in care of the older person.
· Currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
· Post registration in management qualification (QQI Level 6 minimum).
· Post Graduate diploma in Gerontology is desirable.
· Working knowledge of HIQA standards, procedures, and guidelines.
· Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills.
· Sound decision making ability and results driven.
· To provide support, advice, and guidance to the Home by way of an on-call arrangement.
· To co-manage and support all departments including nursing, household, maintenance, and catering staff.
· Good appreciation of finance issues.
· Ability to motivate self and others and work on own initiative.
· Ability to work well and promote a team environment.
