A well-established agri-food organisation is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join its engineering team.
This position plays a key role in keeping essential production environments operating safely and smoothly, with a strong focus on electrical reliability, equipment performance, and high-care standards.
The role operates on daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with participation in a structured on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
Oversee the electrical upkeep of the site, including panels, lighting, wiring and general systems maintenance.
Carry out routine inspections, planned tasks and responsive repairs to keep operations running without interruption.
Use appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment to identify issues and implement safe, effective solutions.
Build familiarity with a range of specialist machinery, including climate-controlled units and automated production equipment.
Update maintenance records, complete documentation, and support cross-departmental communication.
Ensure work practices uphold strict environmental, safety and bio-control standards.
Assist with general machinery repairs and support engineering activities as needed.
Criteria
Recognised electrical qualification with experience in electrical maintenance.
Confident diagnosing faults and working independently in a technical environment.
Willing to develop expertise in specialist equipment and high-care processes.
Flexible to participate in an on-call rotation when required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
