The Dental Practice Manager will oversee all administrative,operational, and quality aspects the clinics.
The role requires strongleadership, compliance oversight, and strategic planning, supported byextensive clinical knowledge in orthodontics, implantology, and aestheticdentistry to guide treatment protocols, ensure best practice, and mentorclinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
Plan,organise, and coordinate daily operations across orthodontics,implantology, and aesthetic services to ensure efficiency and high-qualitypatient care.
Developand implement policies and protocols informed by clinical best practice toimprove service standards and outcomes.
Reviewtreatment protocols to ensure compliance with current clinical standardsand regulatory requirements.
Supportcomplex treatment planning by providing technical guidance to clinicalteams based on extensive experience in orthodontics, implant surgery, andprosthetic rehabilitation.
Mentorclinical staff in specialist techniques, including Damon OrthodonticSystems, Invisalign, and implant placement protocols, to maintain clinicalexcellence across the practice.
Recruit,train, supervise, and appraise dental and administrative staff.
Deliverin-house training sessions on patient care, infection control, radiologyprotocols, and clinical safety procedures.
Ensurefull compliance with Irish dental regulations, health and safety laws,GDPR, and radiation safety.
Maintainaccurate documentation for inspections, audits, and quality accreditationschemes.
Managebudgets, control expenditure, and oversee procurement of dental materials,surgical instruments, and equipment.
Negotiateand manage supplier contracts to ensure continuity of supply and value formoney.
Overseeappointment scheduling, reception operations, patient records, and billingsystems.
Monitorpatient satisfaction and lead initiatives to improve patient communicationand service delivery.
Representthe clinic in dealings with the Irish Dental Council, HSE, insurers,laboratories, and suppliers.
Maintainprofessional relationships with dental and healthcare networks to supportrecruitment, training, and service development.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Experiencein managing dental practices, with strong operational, compliance, andleadership skills.
Extensiveclinical knowledge and hands-on experience in orthodontics, implantsurgery, and prosthetic rehabilitation to guide protocols and mentorstaff.
Familiaritywith Damon Orthodontic Systems, Invisalign, and advanced implanttechniques.
Strongknowledge of dental regulations and operational best practices in Ireland.
Proficiencyin dental management software and Microsoft Office tools.
