Reporting to the, and Operations Manager the team member will operate a friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests. Food Service is a key element of our trade so experience in this service would be very beneficial.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure a good working knowledge of food, wine and cocktails. Be able to make recommendations.
* Ensure adequate stock in the bar and ensuring all back of house areas are kept clean and to standard
* Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
* Up-sell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
* Promote good team relations in F&B team ensuring fairness and consistency.
* Lead, support, inform and guide junior team members.
* Ensure all Cleaning checklists and Paperwork is in order and on file.
* In the absence of manager ensure all sections are allocated appropriately amongst the team.
* Seek ways to cut waste and decrease operational costs and ensure recycling is undertaken.
* Requirements:
* Must be available midweek and weekend for work
* The ability to work on own initiative and be very organised
* Fluent English and excellent communication skills is vital
* Flexibility with ability to work varying shift patterns
* Previous hotel experience in a 3/4-star hotel property is desired but not essential.
* Previous experience in a high volume/ fast paced environment.
* Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the hotel.
* Must have excellent people skills and be extremely customer focused.
* Must be enthusiastic and a quick learner.
* Must be over 18 years of age.
