We are presently recruiting for a Head of Purchasing for our clients, a multinational company in County Kerry. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will support operational efficiency and quality in engineering output and will oversee procurement strategies, negotiates contracts, and ensures cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. As Head of Purchasing you will coordinate with suppliers, manage budgets, ensure compliance with regulations, and align purchasing activities with project and company goals. This is a permanent full-time position, based in County Kerry.Responsibilities:Coordination of purchasing at company levelSupport PM in defining and implementing the divisional purchasing strategyImplementation and further development of group-wide and division-wide Material Group ManagementOptimisation of replenishment times and implementation of a multi-supplier strategyEnsure the availability of materialsLead on reduction in material costsManage Purchasing Department staffDevelop purchasing methods and toolsTake responsibility for purchasing controlLead in all purchasing project portfolioQualifications, Requirements, and Experience5+ years’ of experience in procurement managementSound knowledge of procurement strategiesEducated to degree level or hold relevant qualifications coupled with extensive experience.This is a permanent position offering a market-rate salary, negotiable based on experience, along with and additional package including pension benefits.
