Boyles pub and off-licence In Kildare Town is looking to recruit an enthusiastic friendly part-time seasonal bartender and off-sales retail assistant with an intrest in the drinks industry and with previous experience working in a bar.
Weekend (evening) and festive season availablity required.
Duties will include:
Day to Day running of the bar and off-licence
Keeping up with Wine, Spirit and Beer knowledge
Following responsibile service of alcohol principles and all licensing laws related to the drinks and tobacco industry
Welcoming customer, making beverage recommendations and serving customers
Ensuring the bar and off-licence is fully stocked at all times
Maintaning a clean working environment by cleaning down tables, cleaning glasses and other equipment and making sure all customers areas including bathrooms and out door areas are safe and clean at all times
Knowledge of products on sale and an interest on finding out about new products
Handling cash and card transactions
Honesty
The ability to work as a team or on your own
The candidate should have:
Previous Bar/hosptiality/retail/barista experience (6mts-1year full time) or equivalent
An intrest in the Drinks and Hospitality industry
Knowledge in wine, spirits, beer and other beverages (qualifications preferable)
General knowledge of the licencing laws in regards the sale of alcohol and tobacco products
Barista knowledge
Reasonable numeracy skills
Attention to detail
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Honesty and integrity
The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
Assertiveness in relation to highlighting the legal responsibilities of the role
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From €***** per hour
