An industry-leading semiconductor company is looking for a junior ASIC Design Engineer to join their CPU & Sensors Team onsite in Cork, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement digital logic using RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL).
* Develop micro-architectures derived from system-level specifications.
* Perform functional simulations and debugging using industry-standard EDA tools.
* Collaborate with verification engineers to create test plans and support testbench development.
* Partner with physical design teams to achieve timing closure and integrate DFT features.
* Participate in design reviews and contribute to the enhancement of design methodologies.
* Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, implementation details, and verification outcomes, to support the architecture and design of specific blocks, SoCs, or IC packages.
Key Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital design.
* At least 6 months of experience with architecture and design tools.
* At least 6 months of experience with scripting tools and programming languages.
Level of Responsibility:
* Works under direct supervision.
* Decisions primarily impact the immediate work area or project group.
* Communicates basic and routine information clearly in both verbal and written form.
* Completes tasks involving multiple steps, requiring basic planning, prioritization, and problem-solving to ensure effective execution.
