I'm working with an Investment Management company based in Ballsbridge looking for a Java Engineer to join their Risk Tech team and play a critical role in building a world class platform to support our Risk team.
This role is 4 days on site and candidates must have EU citizenship or Stamp 4 visa status to be considered.
You will be part of the dynamic and collaborative risk tech team, working on key projects in Risk including build out and automation of risk reporting and improvements to portfolio analytics tooling, amongst many other exciting projects to develop critical aspects of the Risk system.

We have a diverse technology stack including Java, TS/React, Kafka, SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Postgres and Docker. We are frequently developing new tools as the business grows so we look for candidates who have the confidence to suggest new technologies/methodologies where appropriate.
Responsibilities:
* Interacting with Risk, build out new analytics and calculations to help manage risk and performance at the firm
* Work alongside business leaders, answering their questions by starting from the data and working upwards
* Analysing timeseries data and working with React specialists in visualizing the results of that analysis
* Help develop API’s for interacting with and using the datasets we have built up over the last decade
* Improve and support existing analytics
Requirements
* Commercial Java and/or Python experience (recent versions preferred)
* SQL/RDBMS experience preferred
* Experience/knowledge of market risk preferred but not essential
* Bachelor’s (or equivalent) Degree in Science or similar discipline
* Curiosity and a desire to learn
