Overview
We are a dynamic team striving to deliver the best integrated MDT care to children and young people living with long-term health conditions and their families. Based in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), we benefit from a wide range of mental health specialists and the flexibility to develop interventions such as targeted group work.
The role involves offering tailored psychological assessment and intervention, contributing to complex MDT care plans (including life‑limiting conditions), consultation, staff support through reflective practice groups, and working alongside the Child Healthy Weight Service. The position also offers unique experience with the Highland Children’s Unit and Neonate Unit wards, requiring on‑site presence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored psychological assessment and intervention.
Contribute to complex MDT care plans, especially in life‑limiting situations.
Offer consultation and staff support via reflective practice groups.
Collaborate closely with medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
Maintain presence on the Highland Children’s Unit and Neonate Unit wards.
Engage in working groups (e.g., CPD, staff support, CAMHS website development).

Additional Information For Candidates
Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours; part‑time hours will be pro‑rated. Hourly rates will increase to keep pay unaffected.
