Lead Safety Auditor – Manufacturing Site

Responsible for evaluating, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulations within a manufacturing facility. This role involves conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards, prevent incidents, and promote a strong safety culture across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan, schedule, and conduct safety audits and inspections across site facilities, production areas, warehouses, and support functions.
* Assess compliance with company safety policies, regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, local regulations), and industry best practices.
* Identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and environmental risks; recommend corrective and preventive measures.
* Prepare clear audit reports with findings, corrective actions, and timelines for resolution.
* Follow up on corrective action plans to ensure timely implementation.
* Support incident investigations by identifying root causes and recommending preventive measures.
* Provide guidance and training to employees and contractors on safety requirements and audit findings.
* Collaborate with management and HSE teams to continuously improve safety programs and systems.
* Monitor key safety performance indicators and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Stay updated on changes in safety regulations, industry standards, and emerging risks relevant to manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
* Professional certification (e.g., OSHA Certification, NEBOSH, Certified Safety Professional [CSP], ISO Auditor) is an advantage.
* Experience in safety auditing or HSE roles within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, risk management, and auditing techniques.
* Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
