OverviewWhat You Need to Know: This is a great opportunity for an experienced Environmental Manager to join a well-established organisation in a permanent, full-time role. In this senior position, you’ll help shape and deliver the site-wide environmental strategy, making a real impact on sustainability targets.Your New Job: As Environmental Manager, you’ll report directly to the site General Manager and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental performance on site. You will play a key role in developing, managing, and maintaining environmental and sustainability initiatives as part of the senior team.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and implement environmental policies and management systems across the siteSupport and maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certificationsEnsure compliance with environmental legislation and keep up to date with Irish and European regulationsLiaise with external bodies such as regulatory authorities and public organisationsMonitor emissions and manage reporting in line with licensing requirementsOversee the operational management of the site’s wastewater treatment plant and support the teamTrack electricity and water usage to promote energy managementCoordinate pollution control, waste management, recycling, and conservation initiativesLead sustainability reporting and continuous improvement projectsSupport project management for environmental equipment installationsTake part in audits and site inspectionsWhat Are We Looking For?Qualification in a field related to Environment and Sustainability ManagementStrong understanding of relevant legislation and complianceExcellent leadership and communication abilitiesAble to work independently, innovate, and manage multiple prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointApply for This JobApply for this job now or get in touch with Eugene O’Rourke on 0874075822 for more information.Compliance StatementBy applying, you are giving consent for Matrix Recruitment to contact you about this job.
