The Swords Cultural Quarter is a flagship project driven by Fingal County Council to create a vibrant civic and cultural hub, aligning with the Sustainable Swords Strategy.
This transformative development will feature:
* A new county library
* A 165-seat theatre
* An art gallery, arts spaces, and makerspace
* Significant public realm upgrades to North Street, enhancing the connection between the new Cultural Centre and the historic Swords Castle
Role and Responsibilities
As a Setting Out Engineer on the SCQ project, you will play a key role in delivering complex construction works on a high-spec civic building and surrounding public realm upgrades.
1. Verifying drawings, plans, and quantities for accuracy
2. Interpreting design documents and collaborating with consultants, architects, and engineers
3. Liaising with subcontractors, supervisors, planners, and quantity surveyors to coordinate works
4. Attending regular site and client meetings to communicate progress
5. Setting out, levelling, and surveying across various structural and public realm elements
6. Organising and managing site logistics to maintain productivity and safety standards
7. Resolving technical challenges and ensuring smooth workflow on-site
8. Implementing quality control procedures and adhering to Health & Safety policies
9. Preparing site reports and maintaining documentation
