As a Radio Radar Technician, you will play a vital part in ensuring the readiness and operational efficiency of naval systems, supporting critical operations at sea and on land.
This role involves maintaining, repairing, and providing operational support for communications, radar, and electronic navigation systems on Naval Service vessels and shore-based facilities.
You will work as part of a team to install, operate, maintain, and repair all onboard communication and navigation equipment, with the opportunity to progress to leading roles and manage Petty Officers (PO).
Key responsibilities include participating in emergency response and damage control duties, including firefighting and other exercises.

Key Requirements:
* Citizenship: Irish citizen or legally entitled to work in Ireland
* Character & Fitness: Must meet medical, physical, and security clearance standards
* Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 39 years of age
* Qualifications: B. Eng in Electronic Engineering, B. Eng in Marine Electrotechnology, or equivalent national qualifications
Selection Process:
The selection process includes a fitness test, competency-based interview, medical exam, and Garda vetting.
All assessments are conducted at the Naval Base, Cork.
