We will work with you to meet your needs.Join Our Team and Make a DifferencePublic Affairs and Advocacy OfficerPermanent Contract, Full-time 39 hours per weekPark WestJob PurposeThe role of the Public Affairs Officer is to provide support to the Head of Advocacy and Campaigns, The Public Affairs Team and the wider CPAF Team.The main focus of the role will be in the areas of administrative support, research, compiling submissions, and lobbying. The post holder will also be responsible for assisting with the organisation of meetings and campaign/advocacy events; and assisting with the design and execution of campaigns on issues that are relevant to the Public Affairs and Advocacy and in line with Rehab Groups corporate objectives.What we're looking for:An NFQ8 or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline – policy development, law, political campaigning, politics, media and/or communications.At least two year's relevant experience of the public/political/not for profit environment in IrelandProven experience in research and report-writingExperience in supporting the implementation of public advocacy campaigns focusing on social issuesExperience of the Irish not for Profit SectorExperience of the disability sector a distinct advantageExposure to supporting lobbying campaigns and working within the framework of the Lobbying Act 2015Knowledge of legislative and policy environment relating to disability would be a clear advantageExperience with event management would be a distinct advantageYour ResponsibilitiesConduct research (qualitative and quantitative) in order to assist the Head of Advocacy and Campaigns to write position papers in support of Rehab Group public affairs and Advocacy objectives.Assist in compiling submissions to Government departments and agencies of relevance to the objectives of the Rehab Group.Research and scan the media and policy environment for developments of relevance to organisational objectives and alert Head of Advocacy and Campaigns as appropriate.Under the guidance of the Head of Advocacy and Campaigns, coordinate and execute lobbying and campaigning events.Coordinate Rehab's response to the Lobbying Register, on time.Closing Date: 28th September 2025What we Offer:Company Pension SchemePaid maternity/paternity/adoption leaveEducational leave27 days annual leaveBike to work schemeTax saver travel schemeIncome protectionUnpaid leaveHealth and Wellbeing programmeCompany credit union schemeEmployee discount schemeDigital DoctorFinancial support for studying and study leaveLong Service Reward SchemeSick leaveEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)To view the full extensive job description please, click apply to visit our company site and download the attachment at the bottom of the page.These duties and responsibilities are a reflection of the present service requirements and may be subject to review and amendment to meet the changing needs of the services.OpportunitiesAtRehabGroupCaringForYourFutureThe Rehab Group is an equal-opportunity employer
