About Manna At Manna, we're changing how the world receives things — by taking delivery to the skies.
Our mission is simple but ambitious: to make high-speed suburban delivery affordable, green, and safe.
We design and build our own aviation-grade drones that deliver food, coffee, groceries, and more — directly from local stores and vendors to people's doors in just a few minutes.
We're a team that Drive with Impact, are Safety Focused, and knows that the best ideas come from Team Players who show up as their Authentic Selves.
We move fast, we are passionate about what we do, and we're always pushing a growth mindset to be better — in everything we do.
If you want to build world-changing technology with real-world impact (and have a bit of fun while doing it), you'll love it here.
Welcome to Manna — where we deliver the future.
Role Purpose As a Quality Engineer at Manna, reporting to the Head of Quality, you will be the primary quality presence on-site — responsible for the full incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality lifecycle across our drone manufacturing operations.
You will own incoming inspection of components and materials, issue and drive resolution of nonconformance reports (NCRs), and work directly with suppliers, manufacturing, and engineering teams to investigate and eliminate quality issues at source.
The role spans hands-on inspection on the shop floor and desk-based supplier quality management, including corrective actions.
You will have genuine ownership in building Manna's quality management infrastructure from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities • Perform incoming inspection of all purchased components, and sub-assemblies against defined acceptance criteria, managing the physical quarantine, labelling, and disposition of incoming material through the IQC process.
• Review supplier documentation (certificates of conformance, material certifications, dimensional reports) as part of incoming inspection and identify systemic incoming quality issues.
• Conduct in-process inspections at defined manufacturing checkpoints, monitor process adherence, and work directly with production teams to contain and disposition in-process nonconformances.
• Perform final inspection of finished products prior to shipment against applicable drawings, specifications, and acceptance test procedures, ensuring no non-conforming product is released.
• Issue NCRs for all detected nonconformances — incoming, in-process, and outgoing — and manage the full NCR lifecycle from issuance through root cause analysis, corrective action, verification, and closure.
• Act as the primary quality contact for the manufacturing team and component suppliers: communicate rejections with supporting evidence, review supplier root cause analyses and corrective action responses, and drive closure of issues.
• Support first article inspection (FAI) activities for new or revised components and assemblies.
• Maintain the NCR register and generate periodic supplier quality performance reports.
• Maintain quality records in accordance with document control procedures and contribute to the development of inspection criteria, procedures, and work instructions.
Requirements Essential • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD T. • Proficiency with standard measurement tools and techniques (calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gauges).
• Strong written communication skills — capable of producing clear, concise technical documentation and supplier correspondence.
• Self-directed and comfortable working with limited supervision in a fast-moving environment.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
• 5 days onsite in Glasnevin, Dublin • Full Driver's Licence.
Desirable • Minimum 3 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspection.
• Experience issuing and managing NCRs and driving corrective actions with external suppliers • Experience in aerospace, drone, defence, or other regulated manufacturing sectors is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with AS****D, ISO ****, or similar quality management standards is desirable.
• Experience with composite materials, electromechanical assemblies, or cable/harness inspection is desirable.
• Knowledge of AQL sampling methodologies (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 or equivalent) is desirable.
