To advise/guide and support managers in effectively managing employment relationships. To provide accurate & specialist legislative/procedural/policy advice to managers and employees. To deliver best practice whilst acting in the businesses interest. To deliver HR projects and initiative to support the achievement of the Department in line with Business st rategy.Work closely with the managers to develop recruitment strategies, initiatives, and approaches. Produce weekly sickness and absence breakdowns, identifying employees on longer term sick/absence, providing information on sickness/absence, required rehabilitation plans if appropriate, following a case management process until the end.Administer and advise managers and employees on 'Family Friendly' rights and entitlements including Maternity, Paternity, Adoption, Flexible Working, Parental Leave, Dependency Leave, Compassionate Leave and Bereavement Leave.Produce weekly & monthly departmental KPI's indicating turnover and short term and long term sickness/absence. Ensure delivered in a timely manner. Deliver HR related KPI's to the HRM and make recommendations based on finding.Support and accompany managers in disciplinary, grievance, sickness management and performance management exercises - produce invite letters (and evidence where appropriate), act in the capacity of a minute taker, provide specialist guidance/advice, drive fairness and consistency, agree outcomes, draft outcome letters. Provide the HRM with information/evidence for appeal.Own and manage the Occupational Health referral process (identifying and agreeing referral with managers & the HRM, notifying employees of OH appointment dates/times, compiling referral with a weeks' notice of the appointment date. Manage the OH meetings timetable. On receipt of reports, review each case with the appropriate manager and agree subsequent actions or rehabilitation plans. Advise and finalise actions/plans with employees). Ensuring case management throughout.Own company people policies and recommend changes / updates in line with changing legislation. Attend annual employment law updates and cascade learnings to the wider team.Advise on employment relation queries from managers and employees in line with company policies/procedures/processes.Support in formal meeting relating to grievance, discipline, performance, sickness and absence.Support Managers by implementing and rolling out PDPs across the business, utilize the apprenticeship levy and ensure clear career mapping discussions are taking place.Own HR Business Plan projects and support other departmental projects as required.As and when needed ( in the event of the HR Admin being absence) upload the T&A data for both weekly and Monthly payrollsIdentify improvements in work processes, promoting continuous improvement. Raise suggestions for improvement with HRM.Carry out any other reasonable requests as instructed by the HRM or Management Team.RequirementsCIPD Level 3 qualified or higher Previous experience within a similar environmentHR legislation / Employment Law understanding / knowledgeExcellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver a message to all levelsProactive and pragmatic with balanced and sound judgementResponsive problem solver and solution focused.Ability to drive accountability amongst the Team and within the wider businessProven experience in advising on HR associated matters (grievance, disciplinary, performance management, absence, etc.)
