We are currently seeking a Site Foreman with proven experience in managing construction site in Cork.
Responsibilities
Health & Safety
Enforce compliance with the site-specific Safety Statement and all safety procedures.
Supervise and ensure subcontractors follow company health and safety policies.
Collaborate with Site Agent/Project Manager to prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure proper induction for all personnel.
Conduct regular site inspections and complete reports through the designated platform (e.g., PowerApps).
Quality Assurance
Understand project specifications and ensure all site activities meet required standards.
Identify and correct any defects, and obtain client sign-off upon completion.
Report non-conformances and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Environmental Compliance
Confirm all necessary environmental permits are in place before commencing works.
Ensure practices on site prevent environmental damage or non-compliance.
Planning & Execution
Manage daily operations of site labor, subcontractors, and plant/equipment.
Develop short-term programs and ensure efficient progress.
Monitor outputs against program targets and control resources to maximize productivity.
Liaise regularly with clients, engineers, and internal teams.
Documentation & Communication
Ensure all work is backed by proper documentation: RAMS, permits, SPA, etc.
Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, plant/labor returns, and progress updates.
Attend project and coordination meetings, delivering site progress reports.
Take ownership of HSQE action items and ensure timely closure.
Team Management
Supervise teams, assign daily tasks, and ensure efficient delivery of work.
Resolve site issues quickly and maintain a productive work environment.
Support team development and identify future talent for leadership roles.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in a similar foreman/site supervisor role within Ireland or the UK.
Strong commitment to health, safety, quality, environment, and cost control.
Certification from a recognised Site Safety Supervisor Programme (or equivalent).
Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
Full, clean driving licence required.
Must be eligible to work in Ireland – no visa sponsorship available.
