Senior Manager Transportation (EMEA) – Vision

About The Role
Lead transportation operations across EMEA for the Vision business, ensuring on‑time, efficient, compliant and cost‑effective movement of goods. Implement strategic initiatives, optimise carrier performance, and uphold trade compliance standards while fostering strong cross‑functional collaboration. Drive value for the EMEA Vision business from global programmes such as IRTE and the Global Control Tower.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the EMEA Transportation team.
* Oversee transportation from VC & SV hubs to Vision customers in EMEA.
* Ensure alignment with global logistics strategies and share best practices.
* Manage carrier performance & relationships and monitor service levels.
* Lead transportation‑related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure adherence to trade compliance standards across all EMEA markets.
* Collaborate with 3PL partners to support growth, drive operational efficiencies and react to unforeseen business needs.
* Manage transportation spend within allocated budgets and ensure accurate invoicing.
* Support legal and regulatory audits in partnership with global compliance teams.
* Provide input to global transport procurement in assessment of future opportunities.
* Identify & implement initiatives to achieve CIP targets.
Key Performance Indicators
* On‑Time delivery (OTD) ≥ 98.25% across all EMEA markets.
* Transportation Cost per Unit: Maintain or reduce year‑over‑year.
* Carrier SLA Compliance ≥ 97.8% adherence to contractual service levels.
* Freight Claims Resolution Rate ≥ 90% resolved within 30 days.
* Customs Compliance rate: 100% adherence to EMEA regulatory requirements.
* Invoice Accuracy ≥ 99% first‑pass match rate.
* Project Delivery ≥ 90% of transportation initiatives delivered on time and within budget.
* Employee Engagement ≥ 80% positive feedback in annual employee surveys.
* Continuous Improvement: Minimum of 3 cost‑saving or efficiency projects implemented annually.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or equivalent.
Required Experience and Skills
* Proven record in managing supplier relationships & performance – preferably in small parcel delivery environment.
* Strong knowledge of trade compliance and customs regulations.
* Strong analytical and project management skills.
* People leadership skills and proven experience.
