We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Support Manager to oversee and manage catering operations for our contracts on the Western seaboard. This role involves liaising with clients, ensuring high-quality food service delivery, managing staff, controlling budgets, and driving customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of catering operations, strong leadership abilities, and excellent client management skills.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality company standards are implemented and adhered to across the region.
* Ensuring the highest food standards and innovation across the region in line with standard operating procedures.
* Proactively identify issues and work with operations and other functions to improve the food offering and the financial and operational performance.
* Support and develop chef managers within the area of responsibility to ensure proactive management of the sites.
* Support business with reactive operational issues in a timely manner.
* Respond to site-specific information and work with on-site teams to address issues in a timely manner.
* Engage in a collaborative approach with the marketing function and chefs to provide effective and innovative ongoing solutions in line with The Q Cafe annual marketing calendar.
* Work with Senior Operations Teams to drive innovation for specific projects.
* Build and maintain excellent client relationships by understanding changing requirements and responding proactively.
* Coach and mentor the management team across the region.
* Promote teamwork and create a great customer, service user, and resident experience.
* Have strong commercial awareness with budget experience and capability to manage the bottom line.
* Build partnership relationships with key stakeholders to make better decisions, deliver better products and services, and run operations efficiently.
Qualifications
* 3rd Level Qualification in Catering Management or equivalent
* Experience working in Healthcare Catering
* Strong Leadership skills
* Ability to instruct and motivate
* Results-oriented approach with proven ability to drive business
* Knowledge of Special Diets, IDSSI and allergen awareness
* Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Certificates
* Previous track record in operations, human resources, and health and safety management
