We pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability, delivering solutions that meet the needs of our clients and communities.Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Plant Excavator Driver to join our civils team. The successful candidate will operate 360° tracked and/or wheeled excavators on a range of civil engineering, groundworks, and utility projects across Ireland.This is a key on-site role requiring precision, safety awareness, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have experience in trenching, grading, lifting operations, and working around live services.Key Responsibilities:Operate 360° tracked or wheeled excavators safely and efficiently in line with site requirements.Carry out excavation for foundations, drainage, ducting, roadworks, and utilities.Load and move materials using excavator attachments such as buckets, breakers, and grabs.Work to levels and line under direction from engineers or foremen.Conduct daily plant checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.Assist with general groundworks duties when required.Maintain a safe working environment and follow all site-specific and statutory safety procedures.Work as part of a site team to ensure smooth and productive operations.Qualifications & Experience:Essential:Valid 360° Excavator CSCS Card (Solás / CIF recognised).Safe Pass (mandatory for all construction sites).Manual Handling certification.Proven experience operating excavators on civil engineering or construction sites.Strong awareness of underground services, lifting operations, and site safety protocols.Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.Desirable:Abrasive Wheels, Confined Space, or Signing, Lighting & Guarding certifications.Experience in deep drainage, pipe laying, or urban utility works.Full clean driving license and own transport.Core Competencies:Machine Operation & ControlHealth & Safety AwarenessCommunication & TeamworkAccuracy & Attention to DetailReliability & Work EthicJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €23.00-€27.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany eventsEmployee assistance programWellness programWork Location: In person
