We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join the team at a leading Medical Device Manufacturing Site.
In this role you will primarily focus on ensuring environmental compliance while also managing regular health and safety duties.
This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and sustainable workplace, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities: Environmental Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Conduct environmental audits and assessments.
Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures.
Manage waste disposal and recycling programs.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies and prepare necessary reports.
Promote sustainability initiatives and practices within the organization.
Health and Safety Duties: Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
Develop and deliver health and safety training programs.
Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions.
Maintain and update safety documentation and records.
Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience managing the Environmental Program Experience of dealing with the EPA and Regulators Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certification in EHS (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus.
Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
